Starla Turnbo, Regional Director and Partner, began her career in the multi-family housing industry 1985. Starla assisted in the Charter of SMI Realty Management in 1993 and has held the position of Regional Director since 1995. She was made partner in 2005. <br> <br> Starla earned her Realtor® designation and license from the Texas Real Estate Commission in 1988. She is a member of the Houston Society of Apartment Property Supervisors and has been the Committee Chair since 2003. She is a member of the HAA Better Government Fund, the RCR Committee, Steering Committee, and Educational Committee. She has served as a CAPS instructor for the Apartment Association and volunteered on the Citizen's Advisory Council. Starla chaired the Annual Recruiting Campaign in 2005, 'Born to Recruit' which earned her the cover of the Abode Magazine. She became the President of the Houston Apartment Association in 2019 and would go on to join the Board of Directors for the Brays Oak Management District. Starla is also the Chair of Public Safety for the Brays Oaks District and is a Chair Women for both the Texas Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association. <br> <br> Starla is also a Feed the Hungry Volunteer and serves on the Board of Directors for Incarnate Word Academy. She has served her community as a Sunday-school teacher, College and Career Instructor and as an overseas Missionary for the LaPorte Worship Center. She is also involved in numerous industry-sponsored fund-raising activities. <br> <br> Starla is a well-respected pioneer and industry leader in the Texas Market.

Corri Smith, Corporate Controller for SMI Realty Management and all of its affiliated companies, has been actively involved in the multi-family housing industry for more than 25 years and continues to provide exceptional and reliable services in her field. <br> <br> Corri manages the short and long-term objectives and financial goals for SMI Realty. Since joining SMI originally in 2007, Corri has provided the direction and guidance to the full accounting, payroll and operations staff as part of her Controller role. Within this management role, she also handles all aspects of IT, payroll, accounting, insurance and property taxes.

Loretta Wiley, Property Supervisor for SMI Realty Management, began her career in the multi-family housing industry in 1987. Loretta joined the SMI Team as a Property Manager in 1998 and re-joined the SMI Team as the Property Supervisor of the Houston portfolio in 2007. <br> <br> Loretta has held a variety of positions with professional management companies and worked with asset managers, investors, and directly with owners throughout Texas, Florida, Maryland and Virginia. Her experience includes operating fee management and owner management portfolios including new construction, interior and exterior rehabs, and takeovers. Loretta's strengths include expense control, budget preparation, troubleshooting, training, and team development. <br> <br> Loretta is a member of the Houston Apartment Association, where she volunteers as a educational trainer and is a member of the Houston Society of Apartment Property Supervisors. She also volunteers with both the Houston Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association. <br> <br> Loretta has vast knowledge of all aspects of operations and is a respected leader of SMI Realty Management.
